ALmeraz

Hayden Almeraz is an undergraduate student at Cornell University who served as a 2024 Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador for the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). In his ambassadorship role, Hayden’s mission was to cultivate and create initiatives that inspired the youth community to engage with the cause of ocean conservation and stewardship. Hayden’s belief in the power of storytelling to create connection and change inspired him to create “Art for Oceans”.

“Art for Oceans” opened on World Oceans Day in June 2024 and featured 25 pieces of youth art (ages 12-24) from 10 different countries around the globe, each piece was hand-selected by Hayden for its potential in telling an impactful ocean advocacy story.
