This first installment of "The Wonderful World of Jazz" explores Armstrong’s complex personality through the lens of artists spanning multiple generations. From Slim Aarons, who captured Armstrong’s essence in the late 1940s, to contemporary portraiture. Each work captures a unique aspect of Armstrong’s character—from his charismatic stage presence to his
more personal, introspective moments.
